Every Flow has one Draft: the working state of its canvas. Every edit you make is auto-saved into it. Until you deploy, no edit reaches production.

Draft vs. deployed versions

  • Draft the canvas itself. Auto-saved as you edit. Invisible to production traffic.
  • Deployed version a frozen snapshot taken at deploy time. Immutable; the version the LIVE pointer targets is what actually runs.
When the Draft diverges from the last deploy, the button at the top right of the canvas becomes the [Update to ver.N] button: that’s the “unpublished changes” indicator. Individual Draft edits do not pile up in the version list; versions are created only by deploys and restores.

Testing in the Draft

Use the canvas’s ▶ button to execute the Draft without deploying. Production (external API and webhook triggers) always runs the LIVE version, so testing can’t accidentally change production behavior.

Restoring a version to the Draft

To start again from an earlier state: Versions → click a version → Restore this version to Draft → Confirm restore. The Draft is overwritten with that version’s contents. Production is untouched. Before overwriting, Nora first saves your current Draft as an autosave snapshot: it appears in the list as “Auto-saved before restore”. If you regret the restore, restore that snapshot back. Any version can be restored, deploy and autosave snapshots alike. Use it to:
  • Recover a tangled Draft to its last good state.
  • Start a new fix from a rolled-back version.
