Open a document in Knowledge to compare the original with the result produced by a refinery. The original stays on the left and Foundry output appears on the right.

Open a document

Double-click a document in Knowledge. The breadcrumb shows its folder path, while the header shows the document type, size, and last updated date.
  • Original previews the uploaded file. Select Open to view the source file in a new tab.
  • Metadata shows the document’s identifiers, location, dates, and tags.
  • Foundry output shows the result of the refinery connected to the document.

Review the output

The top of Foundry output shows the connected refinery and the number of chunks it produced.

Extracted and normalised text

Expand Extracted / normalised text to review the text produced before chunking. Use it to check whether headings, tables, and paragraphs were extracted as expected.

Chunks

Expand Chunks to inspect what retrieval can use. The summary shows:
  • the total number of chunks
  • how many chunks are embedded
  • how many chunks are connected to the KG
Search within the chunks, select one to read its full text, or use Expand all to open every chunk. Each row shows its chunk number, status, preview, and character count.
Compare a suspicious chunk with the original on the left. If text is missing or split poorly, adjust the refinery in Foundry and run it again.

Run a refinery again

Select the refinery name to choose another existing refinery in the workspace. Select Run again to process the document with the selected refinery. The Foundry output updates when the run finishes.
Running a refinery again replaces the displayed output for this document. It does not change the original file.
