Create folders

Knowledge is organised as a folder hierarchy. Use New file → Add folder or the right-click menu in an empty area of the list to create a folder. You can also create folders inside folders. Double-click a folder to open it, and use the breadcrumb to return to the parent folder.

Manage documents and folders

Click a document or folder to select it. Use Shift+click to select a range or Cmd/Ctrl+click to add individual items. Use the selection toolbar or right-click menu to rename, move, delete, and run other actions on selected items.
  • Clear selection X icon on the left side of the selection toolbar
  • Rename
  • Make a copy
  • Copy link copies a link to the document detail view.
  • Move… moves selected items to another folder. Drag a document or folder onto another folder to move it inside that folder.
  • Run Foundry choose a refinery from the submenu to refine documents.
  • Delete deletes the selected documents or folders. Deleting a folder also deletes the documents and subfolders inside it.

How tags are added

Tags help you quickly tell which topic or folder a document belongs to. Tags are not added directly; they are determined by the folder the document is in.
  • Uploading to a folder adds that folder name as the tag.
  • Moving to another folder changes the tag to that folder name.
  • Moving to home, the top level, removes the tag.
Document tags appear in the list’s Tag column and in Metadata in the detail view.
