An Agent references connected knowledge while it runs. Knowledge connections are set per Agent, so different Agents in the same Flow can connect different documents and folders.

How to connect

  1. In the Flow, open the Agent block and go to the Inspector’s Data sources tab.
  2. Click the [Add source] button to open the Knowledge list.
  3. Use the breadcrumb to check your current location, and use search to find documents or folders. To connect an entire folder, select the folder. To connect specific documents, open the folder and select the documents. You can select multiple documents and folders together.
  4. Click the [Add] button to connect the selected documents or folders.
An Agent with connected knowledge can search and reference the connected documents and folders from the next run.

Per-source settings

Set the Retrieval preset and Context for each connected source.
  • Retrieval preset use the dropdown under the card title to apply one of the workspace’s Retrieval presets to this source only. If you do not select a preset, the workspace’s default retrieval settings are used.
  • Context turn on the toggle to bring adjacent chunks before and after the searched chunk. This can restore context lost when a document is split, but a wider range uses more tokens and can include unrelated content.

Disconnect

Hover over the source card to show the X button on the right, and disconnect the Agent from the knowledge. The original documents or folders in Knowledge are not deleted.
