Knowledge vs memory
Knowledge is information you prepare and organize ahead of time for the Agent; memory is what the Agent builds up on its own as runs accumulate.
Flows typically use knowledge and memory together: knowledge as the reference material, memory for personalization and continuing context.
The four paradigms of memory
Creating a memory space
From Memory → New space, select one of Wiki, Index, Session, or Evolution to create a memory space. Adjust the created space’s details in the detail panel’s Settings tab.A memory space’s paradigm can’t be changed after creation. Each paradigm
stores and manages memories differently, so if you need a different paradigm,
create a new space.
Connecting and disconnecting memory
A memory space can be connected to a Flow or to an Agent block. See Attaching memory for where and how. For a Flow or Agent that doesn’t need memory, simply don’t connect a memory space. For a memory space that’s already connected, detach it. With no memory connected there are no memories to load, so the Agent doesn’t reference context from previous interactions.Inspecting in the trace
To see how a Draft run read and wrote memory, check the trace. See Inspecting a run.Next steps
